Print is not dying, but it does need the support of Digital. It is a partnership that can be extremely profitable if done correctly. Most understand the need for digital marketing for even the most traditional products, and Business Edge News Magazine is no different.
Rob Driscoll, publisher of Business Edge News Magazine, approached me with a dream of taking his magazine online, without leaving the successful print version behind. We worked on a complete Digital Marketing Strategy to find the best way to promote the print product digitally and transition into a cohesive online and offline brand. We began implementing it by creating awareness on the desired platforms (facebook, twitter, linkedin) and by creating SEO rich blog content for the website.
Next steps will include more online advertising for both the magazine and opportunities for their advertisers, and a seamless digital version with individual article publishing for greater reach and share-ability.
We are excited to see the digital and traditional words connect and create something solid and profitable for this client.
Facebook and twitter have taken on the role of the news outlets. Sharing our most recent blogs as well as other notable and newsworthy articles and blogs from across Canada. It is a place for creativity through custom business-related memes, as well as promoting open discussion on topics like business, technology, and the economy.
Custom Memes to tag other companies and create engagement
With LinkedIn we created a company page so that contributors and staff had a place to connect, and potential advertisers had an additional location to find valuable information. However, the majority of the work is done through the owners account and guidance on open conversation, published articles, and share-able news. It is through LinkedIn that real relationships, business to business, are created.
