Lead Magnets (Freebies)

Let’s just get straight to the point. You need to give people something before you can get anything from them. It’s called building trust.

This ‘freebie’ (or Lead magnet) you’re going to give away should be something closely related to your business and product/service offerings. It is something that you are offering for free in order to get someone’s email (#1 priority) and show them that you know what you are talking about and offer quality work should they (or anyone they know) be in need of your services (#2 priority).

Example: I offer 3 different freebies depending on what page people land on. They are presented as pop-ups.

The idea is that I give people the start of their marketing – something that they can walk away with and use right away. They give me their email for them because they are super valuable pieces. WHEN they have tried it themselves, and they have decided they don’t want to do it themselves anymore, they can see that I do want to help them, I do know what I am talking about, and I do offer these services. And now my company is at the forefront of their mind. I then follow these freebies up with a targeted email drip campaign based on their download and the pages they were interested in, as well as my monthly newsletters.

 

Creating A Lead Magnet
